
An opportunist adventurer takes a chance into the flood near the Sabia-Venezuela border in Alcabala
Yesterday Sabia and Verona saw aggressive, continuous rain that caused floods in the Nueva Heredia municipality. Both Alcabala and Nuevo Berín were affected, but no families had to be evacuated. The heavy reain went on for two hours reportedly from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm VST when it finally stopped. The emergency brigade took care of draining all the water the rain had left.
No floods were reported in Verona or any other Sabian municipalities, but Sabioveronese authorities will be pending on near future similar events, since it is rain season in the Venezuelan territory, and even heavier rains are ought to come.
Earlier that morning, First Secretary Napoléon Bleuberrie had mentioned how Sabia and Verona was unprepared for this kind of events, and that he plans to change that before 2013 (read the whole article)
