Last night (December 3, 2012) at 20:30 VST the Land Army jointly with the Gendarmería Regional arrested two Unity Party leaders with accusations of collaborating with the Three King Movement that caused the Rebellion of December 2. The Unity members, Javier Pascual and Edi Szalt (also Courts deputy for Listria Municipality) are being accused of collaborating with the Three King Movement and treason to the People’s Government and will be judged in open trial on December 10, 2012.
This is the Land Army’s first operation and first joint work since its creation as a Royal Order after the Three King Rebellion. The Commander of the new military force, Ser Napoléon Bleuberrie, First Secretary of Sabia and Verona and Leader of the Socialist Party, greeted his new troops and named the operation a “success to Sabia and Verona and its new military force”.
Unity Party leader Graham Müntz on the other hand considered the arrest an attack on the party and will defend Pascual and Szalt in the scheduled trial. “Since the creation of the Unity, both Bleuberrie’s government and the Socialist Party have been attacking us and our political entity. This is not democracy”, said Müntz as he entered Sang Si jail to visit his party members.
